The JCB 505-20E brings electric power to JCB’s compact telehandler platform, making it well suited to indoor work, urban construction and other environments where noise and exhaust emissions need to be minimized. It is just over 6 ft high and 6 ft wide, yet still delivers a 5,500 lb maximum lift capacity, 20 ft lift height and about 11 ft of forward reach. With 3,000 lb of capacity at full height and 1,650 lb at full reach, it provides practical material-placement capability in a compact footprint.

A 96 V, 24 kWh lithium-ion battery powers separate traction and hydraulic motors, allowing the machine to work without a diesel engine. Permanent four-wheel drive, front-wheel, all-wheel and crab steering help operators maneuver in confined areas, while onboard charging and fast-charge compatibility add flexibility between shifts. The low-noise electric drivetrain is especially useful on enclosed or noise-sensitive sites where conventional diesel equipment can be less practical.
